Forestry Questions

to ask a forester a question

Needed: Landowners with a stand of White Oak

The Vermont Dept. of Forests, Parks and Recreation is looking for declining white oak or chesnut oak to survey for a new exotic beetle called the oak splendor beetle.  They need to find four stands in the state for survey and collection of bolts from declining trees in March and April.  Please contact
Ronald S. Kelley
ron.kelley@state.vt.us
if you know of any potential stands, on state or private lands.  If they are on an active logging job, that would be a plus.
